Experience the warmth and comfort of Swedish home cooking in this hands-on culinary class as we prepare one of Sweden's most iconic meals from scratch. You'll learn the techniques behind tender, flavorful Swedish meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, delicately seasoned with traditional spices, and paired with a rich, velvety cream sauce. Along the way, you'll discover professional tips for mixing the meat without overworking it, shaping perfectly uniform meatballs and creating a silky smooth potato purée worthy of any Scandinavian table.
To complete the meal, you'll prepare Sweden's classic quick-pickled cucumbers, learning how a simple balance of vinegar, sugar, and fresh herbs creates the perfect accompaniment to the rich meatballs and creamy potatoes. As your savory feast comes together, you'll also bake Kladdkaka, Sweden's famous gooey chocolate cake. This beloved dessert is known for its crisp, delicate crust and irresistibly soft, fudgy center, and you'll learn exactly how to achieve its signature texture every time.
At the end of class, you'll enjoy the traditional Swedish meal you've prepared, complete with Swedish meatballs, creamy mashed potatoes, rich pan gravy, pickled cucumbers, and sweet lingonberry preserves. As this is a Chef/Date Night Class, you are welcome to BYOB (please drink responsibly.)

*What is a Dynamic Duo? It’s basically two people sharing the same workstation at no extra charge. You share all equipment and ingredients for a singlebatch of whatever we’re making that day. Don’t worry, we won’t stick you with some random stranger- if you want to fly solo, you’ll have the station (and all the yummy food) all to yourself!
We provide all ingredients, supplies, and tools required for use during each class. Best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make - we provide all boxes/packaging.
We always have a selection of teas, coffee, water and something tasty to nibble on when you visit. However, you are welcome to bring your own drinks (if you are BYOBing, please drink responsibly) or snacks if you desire. Lunch is provided for full day classes, please let us know of any allergies in the notes section when you are booking your classes.
Please wear comfortable shoes (stools will be provided) and have long hair tied back. For the comfort of all our students and staff, we ask that you refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. You may wish to bring a cardigan or sweater as the kitchen is kept at 68F.
