Trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine and WSET in London, plus the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in New York, Mavourneen spent years mastering the art of cooking (and confidently avoiding baking whenever possible).
Now happily based in Florida, Mavourneen teaches real-world cooking with global flair, inspired by extensive travels and a deep love of bold flavors. Her classes focus on delicious, doable dishes—no fussy pastries, no unnecessary soufflé stress, and absolutely no apologies for extra garlic.
When not in the kitchen, you’ll likely find Mavourneen scuba diving, hanging out with dogs, or planning her next food adventure. Equal parts skilled, curious, and just a little irreverent, she believes cooking should be fun, flavorful, and never taken too seriously—except when it comes to seasoning.
