Step into the vibrant flavors and rhythms of modern Cuba in this fun, hands-on cooking experience inspired by the energy of New Havana. Guided by Chef Fernando, you’ll explore bold island flavors, contemporary techniques, and comforting Cuban traditions reimagined with an elegant modern touch.

The evening begins with black bean hummus finished with fragrant mojo oil — a silky, smoky spread brightened with citrus, garlic, and herbs that captures the soul of Havana’s classic flavors in a fresh new way.

Next, you’ll prepare citrus-garlic chicken confit served over creamy yuca purée. Learn the secrets behind slow-cooking chicken until perfectly tender while balancing rich savory flavors with the earthy comfort of traditional Cuban ingredients. Chef Fernando will guide you through techniques that bring warmth, depth, and restaurant-quality presentation to every plate.

To finish, you will torch then indulge in a luscious guava crème brûlée — a tropical twist on the French classic. Crack through the delicate caramelized sugar topping to reveal a silky custard infused with sweet guava and subtle island notes, creating the perfect finale to your culinary journey.

As this is a Chef Class you are welcome to BYOB (please drink responsibly) so this is Perfect for Date Night, a fun Friend’s Night Out.

This class is suitable for the following Dynamic Duo* types:

YES: Friends (you will share all equipment/ingredients for 1 recipe/batch…we let you rock, paper, scissors if the recipe doesn’t divide equally.)

*What is a Dynamic Duo? It’s basically two buddies sharing the same workstation at no extra charge. You share all equipment and ingredients for a singlebatch of whatever we’re making that day. (Don’t worry, we won’t stick you with some random stranger- if you want to fly solo, you’ll have the station (and all the yummy food) all to yourself!) On Chef/Date Nights you will always have enough for two and generally extra to bring home too.

We provide all ingredients, supplies, and tools required for use during each class. Best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make - we provide all boxes/packaging too!

Please wear comfortable shoes (stools will be provided) and have long hair tied back. For the comfort of all our students and staff, we ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne. You may wish to bring a cardigan or sweater as the kitchen is kept at 68F.
